The Spanish word LUCHA means "a fight".
LUCHA is also an abbreviation for our project "Ladies Ultra CHAllanges".
Taking up difficult sportive challenges, we want to show that WE, WOMEN, must fight for our dreams and fight for our happiness.
Still, we are achieving our goals with joy and ... a red lipstick on, because we are ladies and we love to feel feminine!
We met in London two years ago thanks to Midnight Runners and although we are different and have different lives, we have discovered that we have a lot in common!
We both like challenges. We love sport. The fight to achieve our objectives gives us great joy. Since our first meeting, we have participated twice in 5150 Warsaw triathlon, we ran together Luxembourg ING Half Marathon and we won the aquathlon in Cádiz. In addition, Marina ran several marathons and ultramarathons, while Karolina took part in many triathlon competitions (including Ironman 70,3 Gdynia), winning the sprint distance Vice-Championship for Poland (age category).
We have often been asked by other women how we do it, how we combine private and professional life with the challenges we set up. Some of them - thanks to us – have started running or swimming. This is our aim : we want to encourage others - be better and stronger every day.
We say: if you really desire for something, then everything is possible! We want to create a platform through which the courageous women can inspire other women.
It all started while we were standing at "El Mirador del Estrecho de Tarifa". Our thoughts crossed at the same second.
We looked at each other. And the plan came up. Somehow, we knew it was going to happen sooner or later. We are now at the stage of finalizing all formalities...
Fight for your dreams! Fight for your happiness!
Well, we want to prove IT IS POSSIBLE! And also, we want to inspire more women around the world through different challenges. Our first major project is to complete 5 intercontinental swims: Bosporus, Gibraltar, Panama Strait, Bering Strait and Kuril Strait. We would like to do them in five consecutive years beginning from 2018.
We want to do this with our RED LIPSTICKS, because we are LADIES and yes, because WE CAN.
